Siesta

I am terrible for not keeping my Facebook and my blog up to date, lol. I go through phases when I post regularly, then I neglect to do so. Anyway, this little watercolour is called "siesta", fabriano artistico 300lbs paper 7x5 ins.

London night scene.

I have been trying out Gessobord for my oil painting. I normally use oil primed linen on panel, but thought I would give the gessbord a go. It's made in the USA by Ampersand and comes in various sizes and thickness. I just used 5x7 ins size 1/8 ins thick. I found it very good to work with, smooth and clean. A London night scene, " waiting for a bus". 5x7 ins, limited palette.

Elderly gentleman enjoying the sun

This is a watercolour of an elderly gentleman sitting by a pool, on holiday. The figure was back lit and it was difficult to pick out highlights, apart from the head and hair. Loose and wet in wet with some lifting out. Painted a few years back, on Bockingford 200lbs paper. 7.5x10 ins
