Street nocturnal

I painted this scene with acrylic paints, as I wanted to rediscover the medium and to try something different  from oil paints. So I invested in some Golden acrylics and some canvas panels, any excuse to buy art stuff. I approached my subject matter a bit tentatively, as I have always had some difficulty with acrylics in the past. The scene is a street in Wexford town, just before Christmas. The street is lit by yellow street lights in places, giving the houses a warm glow in places. Brush and palette knife and the work was dry in 30 minutes. Acrylic on canvas panel 8x10 ins
