Watercolour struggles

I have been trying to get some ideas together for paintings and struggling with watercolour at the moment. Oil painting is in my head, but another part of me does not want to neglect watercolour, despite not being in the mood for it, hence the struggle. The painting below is a preliminary study for a painting I have in mind. I will need to lighten the tones and bring a bit more colour into it. Not my usual paper, but Waterford Saunders cotton rag. Ladies....9x12 ins
